New Student vs Returning Student

New Student - Your child is a new student if one of the following applies:
    • The student has NEVER been enrolled at Seminole ISD.
    • The student was not enrolled at any Seminole ISD campus on the last day of the prior school year.
    • The student was previously enrolled at Seminole ISD, withdrew, and is now returning.
 
Returning Student - Your child is a returning student if they were enrolled in Seminole ISD on the last day of the prior school year.  Returning students will complete registration. 
 
 

New Student Online Enrollment Applications for 2023-2024

The 2023-2024 New Student Enrollment application is coming soon.  
 
Your child is a new student if one of the following applies:
 
  • The student has NEVER been enrolled at Seminole ISD.
  • The student was not enrolled at any Seminole ISD campus on the last day of the prior school year.
  • The student was previously enrolled at Seminole ISD, withdrew, and is now returning.
 
 

Step 1:   Please begin to gather the following documents.  You will have the ability to upload the documents to our online enrollment system.  

  • ONE proof of residency (Ex: residential lease, electric, gas, sewer, or water utility bills with Parent(s)/Guardian(s) names and address on statement. Must be current. No final or disconnect notices accepted.) 
  • Student's birth certificate  (Be prepared to upload a copy, but understand that an original copy must be made at the school in August, as required by the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, Article 63.019)
  • Student's Social Security card
  • Student's immunization record
  • Parent/Guardian photo ID
  • Parent/Guardian must have a valid email address. 

Step 2:  Complete an online form linked below prior to your registration appointment:NEW STUDENT registrationStep 3:  SISD will contact parents for follow-up documentation if required.  Students are not officially enrolled until all documentation is complete. 


Pre-K and Kindergarten Eligibility & Enrollment

Kindergarten

Any child who resides in Seminole ISD and will be 5 years old on or before September 1 of the current school year is eligible to attend Seminole ISD’s full-day kindergarten. 

  • Kindergarten MUST be immunized for DTP, Polio, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hep-A, Hep-B, and Varicella (Chickenpox) 

Pre-K 
A child who is four (4) years of age on or before September 1 of the current school year is eligible for a pre-kindergarten program if the child meets one of the qualifiers listed below:
  1. Unable to speak and comprehend the English language;
  2. Economically disadvantaged (qualifies for free or reduced lunches);
  3. Homeless;
  4. The child of an active duty member of the armed forces, including state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who is ordered to active duty (must be on active duty the first day of school);
  5. The child of a member of the armed forces, including state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who was injured or killed while serving on active duty; or
  6. The child is or ever has been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services following an adversary hearing. This also includes children who have been adopted or returned to their parents.
  7. Is the child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award as:
    1. A peace officer under Section 3106.002, Government Code;
    2. A firefighter under Section 3106.003, Government Code; or
    3. An emergency medical first responder under Section 3106.004, Government Code.

Pre-K Registration for the 2024-2025 School Year is now OPEN.

PREK REGISTRATION
 

Who: For any student that was enrolled in a Seminole ISD school on the last day of the prior school year.

 

When: Registration for the 2023-2024 year is now OPEN.  

 

Important:  All returning students must have online registration complete by August 5, 2023.

 

Once logged into the Parent Portal, click "Forms" on the left. Parents must complete all forms in the New and Returning section and all forms in the Returning section.
