Seminole ISD Recognizes Judith Lawrence as January's Teacher of the Month

A quick question in class says a lot about a teacher’s style. In one recent lesson, Judith Lawrence prompted her students, “So, what type of triangle would that be?” When a student replied, “A right triangle,” the exchange captured what many on campus appreciate most—clear instruction, active learning, and a classroom where students feel comfortable participating. For that daily impact, Ms. Lawrence has been recognized as Seminole ISD’s January Teacher of the Month.

On campus, coworkers describe her as someone who consistently puts students first. Seminole Elementary Counselor Andrea Kissick shared, “Ms. Lawrence is an amazing blessing to our campus. She truly loves her students and is always checking in on them… taking care of them… really loving on them each and every day.” Principal Aine Lopez added that she has brought “such a joy to our campus,” calling her “positive, energetic” and emphasizing that the most important thing she brings is “a love for her kids.”

Ms. Lawrence’s response to the recognition reflects the kind of teammate she is. She said, “I feel like I am standing right next to the 225 employees that we have that could easily earn this award,” adding that it means a lot to know her colleagues see her “as having an impact and a positive impact with the students.”

Seminole ISD is proud to celebrate Judith Lawrence for the care, energy, and dedication she brings to students each day.
