Residency Verification — Required for ALL Students in 2026–27
Due to some of our campuses reaching capacity, Seminole ISD will require every family to verify their residence during 2026–27 registration. Unless your student is on an approved transfer from the Superintendent's office, a verified residence within Seminole ISD boundaries is required to attend SISD schools. Residency verification is built into the new Skyward registration process.
Acceptable proof of residency (in parent or guardian name):
- A current (within 30 days) gas, electric, or water utility bill showing current usage
- Final or disconnect notices will NOT be accepted
- Cell phone, cable, internet, tax statements, and insurance bills will NOT be accepted
- A current lease or rental agreement (a utility bill within 30 days of enrollment is also required)
- If living with a friend or relative: a completed, notarized affidavit provided to the school's front office, along with a current utility bill in the owner's name
If the required proof of residency is not provided, your child's enrollment may be delayed or denied. Seminole ISD reserves the right to require additional documentation and may investigate stated residency as necessary.
Transfers: If your student was on an approved transfer in 2025–26, the transfer will most likely be approved for 2026–27, except in cases of failing grades, poor attendance, or poor discipline. Approval of new transfer requests is unlikely but will be considered case-by-case.
